Hi there! I'm Stephanie, and I am a master's candidate at Berkeley's School of Information with a focus on User Experience and User Interface Design. Prior to coming to Berkeley, I was a professional graphic and web designer at UCLA. I value working in a collaborative team environment, and I am excited to learn from and work with my peers.
My interests are learning how to design more usable, logical user interfaces and how to better organize content for a streamlined user experience. I also plan to explore data visualization and natural language processing during my time at the I School.
This semester, I am excited to participate in a student-led research group study reviewing East-West user interface design and user experience choices. It's truly been interesting to see how I am able to apply my background in political science and Asian American studies – two fields I previously thought would not be so directly related to user experience design.
In my spare time, I have a passion for travel hacking and traveling the world at a discount. In 2015, my current plans include traveling to Seoul, South Korea for the second time, and Yerevan, Armenia for the first time.
